2:10 a.m. Tbilisi. The 2009 Subaru is parked on the corner of the street. I join Aleksandre inside, a few words, a first cigarette. The car glides through the silent city, a few wanderers punctuating the journey with internal cries. We pick up the other members of the group. Here we are in the dark night, on the heights of Tbilisi, in Tkhinvala.
⚕︎ 3:15 a.m. in the studio, a few beers and the beginning of the set up. Soon, Tbilisi will wake up and we will accompany it in its first kaleidoscopic embrace. And then, suddenly, a new idea emerges collectively: to witness this moment directly from the mountain, outside.
4:30 a.m. outside, the first chords, the microphones are set up. The horizon offers the fantasy of the sun rising very close by. Here it is, there it is, there they are, Georgian prose, universal poetry, friends now swimming among the clouds.

Aleksander’s album – Dilit Amomavalo Mzeo (The Rising Sun) explores Georgian folk poetry that has been rediscovered and designed for storytelling and inner journeys. Dilit is also humour, joy and the rediscovered lyrics of a wedding song. The trance is gentle, unexpected and lifts us up to the scent of tequila.
